Sportrock Climbing Centers offers indoor rock climbing for children as young as 5 to adults, depending on the program. They have 2 locations in Northern Virginia. One is a 35,000 square feet facility located in Alexandria, Virginia and the other one is a 14,000 square feet facility located in Sterling, Virginia.
This is a fabulous activity that you and your kids can do together year-round. Neither you nor your kids have to be experts, because they offer beginner classes for both kids and adults. They have a variety of weekly youth programs at each center and most require the kids to be at least 5 years old except for the Junior Climbing Club, currently only offered at the Alexandria location, which has a minimum age of 4. Sportrock also offers several camps for kids from ages 6-16. And if your older child is really interested, they can join a youth climbing team.

Sportrock offers various party packages that can be custom built to your event. The Alexandria location is larger so it can host more people than at the Sterling location.
