Frying Pan Farm Park is located in Herndon, VA in Fairfax County. It offers a variety of attractions and activities for all ages and is especially popular with young children. It’s an actual working farm with plenty of animal friends and 15 acres of crops that are used to feed them.
While you’re at the farm, you can visit the Kidwell Farmhouse where you’ll meet farm animals such as horses, chickens, sheep and pigs. If you visit in the spring, you’ll also be able to meet their new arrivals as well.
As you walk around the farm, there will be plenty of antique and modern farm equipment for children to look at and some small replica tractors to sit on. The farm also offers group wagon rides that take you around the farm and back.
You can enjoy lunch on some scattered picnic tables or by simply sitting on the grass. Nearby, kids will also have access to a playground to burn off some more energy. If you’re interested, there is also a ticketed carousel ride that can be enjoyed by all.
Throughout the year, you’ll find other events at Frying Pan Farm Park such as a 4-H fair and carnival and one-day to multi-day programs and camps for kids.
With all these wonderful activities for the kids, they will never get tired of this place. One of the best things about the farm is that most activities are free to enjoy at your leisure.
